GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - The Division II Bulletin announced that
Ryan Stephan of Colorado Mesa University has been named the December Player of the Month.
Stephan averaged 22.6 points, including a season-high 36 points at Colorado Mines, and 8.4 rebounds during five games in December for CMU. He shot 54-percent from the field and 80-percent (44-55) from the field. The Lakewood, Colo., native dished out 10 assists, blocked one shot and had one steal. He has seven double-doubles this season, fourth most in Div. II. He leads the RMAC in points per game (25.5), total points (280), rebounds per game (10.1) and total rebounds (111).
Colorado Mesa (8-5, 4-3) will play at MSU Denver Friday.
